John Elliott

John started studying Tai Chi in the early 1980’s and taught for four years during the mid 1990’s.

In 1993 he was fortunate enough to begin his studies with Sifu Gin Soon Chu by attending Sifu's workshops in Europe. Later he visited Sifu’s school in America, and in 1997 moved there to continue his studies.
In 1999 Sifu gave John permission to teach, but it was not until 2003 that John returned to the U.K. to open his school.

John's teacher, Sifu Gin Soon Chu is a disciple of, and was authorized to teach by, Grandmaster Yang Sau-Chung, firstborn and heir of the legendary Yang Cheng-Fu. Master Chu received a deep and well-rounded training, first from Master Lai Hok Soon and then Grandmaster Yang Sau-Chung, a training that covered all aspects of Classical Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan.
