Karen Hayes

I started learning Spirit Combat at the age of 10 with Soke Brian Dossett at his Teddington club. Unfortunately due to a back injury I had to give up contact martial arts.

In September 2004 a friend introduced me to The Ryber Tai Chi School run by John Elliott. Since then I have been practicing the solo form, pushing hands, and weapons forms.

I also enjoy the meditation side of Tai Chi as I have a stressful job working with children.

Karen regulary assists at classes in Claygate and Cobham and stands in for John whenever necessary.
